What will your services cost?
It can be exhausting trying to the kind of services we provide at a reasonable cost. Many of our competitors use packages or contracts to make you pay more than you need to.
At Purple Beagle Digital, we charge for time rather than services. Whichever of our services you require – be it a website build, help with social media or something different – the cost will always be our going rate for time.
In addition, we’ll provide you with a quote with an estimate of how long your request will take, so you’ll know the maximum you’ll be paying before you agree to the work taking place.
Specifically with website development only, there will be an additional small fee for the annual renewal of your domain and hosting.
Will I be locked into a minimum contact?
We don’t ask you to lock in to using our services. We hope that our quality of work will be proof enough that continuing to work with is worthwhile!
What experience do you have?
I’ve worked on the development and content management of websites and other digital systems for over a decade and I have experience doing this in both the public and private sector – in Local Government and for local businesses! I’ve used a huge number of content management systems for work and for personal use and have experiencing with coding using HTML and CSS.
In addition to this, I’ve created, edited and published videos for content creators with follower numbers in the 6 figures and have experience with creating and growing social media communities that have organically grown to over 20,000+ followers.
How do you build websites?
Currently I am building websites using WordPress. I make use of a number of plugins that make web development more efficient such as Elementor Pro. Websites that I build are hosted using Hostinger.
What do you mean by customer focused, responsive and accessible?
On the Our Services page, we mention some key principles that we always keep in mind no matter what work we undertake (but especially with websites).
Customer focused: The purpose of your website will almost always be to facilitate interactions with your potential customers. Because of this, it’s crucial to create a website with content that uses the language and layouts that speaks to them.
Responsive: Many web developers build websites for visitors to view with their PC monitors or laptops. However, well over half of all web traffic takes place on mobile phones. In addition to this, tablets, games consoles, televisions and an unknown number of other devices can all be used to browse the internet and reach your website. Because of this, we make sure to build websites that are responsive. This means that the content will scale and change to give customers the best experience for the device they are on.
Accessible: Accessibility is important to so many people and we always design and develop websites and content so that people with disabilities can get the same experience online that everybody else can. In some cases this might simply mean using colours that keeps text clear and readable against backgrounds but it will often mean having descriptions for images, providing sensible navigation options and nesting content correctly.
Where are you based?
Purple Beagle Digital is based in Witham St Hughs, Lincolnshire.
Potential customers who would prefer to meet to discuss requirements in person might be based in Lincoln, Newark, Grantham, Sleaford, Gainsborough, Woodhall Spa… or one of the many other towns or villages across Lincolnshire.
However, we’re open to helping anybody in the UK or beyond if you’re open to working with us remotely!
